Conserve Water with the revolutionary AQUS ™ System! |
The AQUS™ System is a new and innovative water conservation device which recycles greywater for reuse in toilet flushing. The AQUS™ System can be installed to use recycled water in almost any application – including single family residences, multiple–family residences, office buildings, hotels, schools, government buildings and LEED developments. The AQUS™ saves water and utilities costs by reducing water usage up to 5,000 gallons a year in an average household. The commercial and residential water savings can help save significant quantities of water in areas where this resource is in danger due to current extreme drought conditions. |
As always, AquaPro Solutions is dedicated to offering quality, innovative products that conserve water - one of the world's most precious natural resources - plus provide economic benefit. |
Introducing the AQUS ™ System |
In homes across the U.S., the bathroom accounts for 74 percent of water used. About 5 percent of all domestic water consumption runs from the lavatory faucet in the sink, and eventually into the sewer. About 40 percent of all domestic water consumed is used to flush toilets. |
The AQUS™ was developed to capture and reuse lavatory water. Simple to install, AQUS™ uses water from bathroom sinks to flush toilets. AQUS™ can help individual households, hotels, schools, commercial buildings, government structures and multi-family complexes save gallons of water and dollars. |
In addition, the AQUS™ System is: |
· Hardly noticeable. There is no change to the normal operation of your lavatory sink and toilet. · Easy to use. AQUS™ is simple to install and requires minimal annual maintenance. |
AQUSTM can reduce metered water usage in a two-person household by about 10–20 gallons a day – or approximately 5,000 gallons a year. In addition to conserving water AQUSTM helps save money in reduced water consumption charges and wastewater treatment or sewer fees. |

Simple to use, easy to install. |
Tucked inside the vanity below the sink, the AQUS™ reservoir works in conjunction with standard lavatory pipes and holds up to 5 ½ gallons of water from the sink. |
Inside the toilet tank, the AQUS™ System fill control unit keeps fresh water from filling the tank by holding the ball cock in the off position. That allows water held in the reservoir under the sink to fill the toilet tank. A water hose connects the reservoir to the fill control unit, using gravity, water pressure and a small electrical pump to move water from the vanity to the toilet. |
AQUS™ comes with all the parts needed and takes one to two hours to install. |
AQUS™ is ideal for: |
· Single- and multi-family homes · Business and commercial properties · Eco-minded developments · Water districts that offer conservation incentives · Anyone with a toilet and sink wishing to save water and save money! |

Saving water saves money |
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Water, more than 4.8 billion gallons of water is flushed down U.S. toilets each day. The American Water Works Association estimates that if water–saving features were installed in every U.S. household, water use would decrease by 30 percent. That would reduce daily water used by about 5.4 billion gallons, resulting in $113 million dollar–volume savings a day. |
AQUSTM can reduce metered water usage in a two–person household by about 10 to 20 gallons a day – or approximately 5,000 gallons a year. In addition to conserving water AQUSTM helps save money in reduced water consumption charges and wastewater treatment or sewer fees. |
Raftelis Average Savings Report |
American Water Works Association, Denver, Colorado and Raftelis Financial Consultants, Inc., Charlotte, North Carolina, produced the 2006 Water and Wastewater Rate Survey. This survey is compiled and published every two years. Many water companies utilize the data found in this report to assist in setting their own water and wastewater rates. |
The AQUS™ preserves scarce natural resources and saves owner’s money by reusing the water from the lavatory sink to flush the toilet, thereby reducing the amount of fresh water normally used and the cost of that fresh water. Additionally, the AQUS™ saves the owner’s money for the disposal of wastewater at the lavatory sink. |
Based upon review of the fresh water and wastewater charges of numerous cities and counties from the 2006 Water and Wastewater Rate Survey, we have calculated that the average combined charge is approximately $7.00 per 1,000 gallons of fresh and wastewater. |
The AQUS System is expected to save in excess of 8 gallons of fresh water per day for two person bathrooms with normal activities in more than 50% of bathrooms. The following represents several scenarios for the economic impact of the AQUS™. |

Economic Impact of AQUS™ |

Twenty Household Test Results |
In 2004, twenty 24-hour household tests were conducted to determine the various contaminants and volume of fresh water which goes down the bathroom drain. The contaminant data, along with information published on the Internet and discussions with a toxicologist, was used to develop treatment options to make the reused water safe for pets and people. |
The volume data, which was later validated by an independent study by Aquacraft, Inc., provided information regarding anticipated fresh water and wastewater savings. The following is a review of the data collected. |
